The question
The heritage manager wanted a thorough condition survey of a vulnerable monument, without any risk of damage from scaffolding or ladders against the building.
Scope and conditions
A free-standing baroque chapel in a wooded setting, with a complex roof structure and façades that are only partly visible from the ground.

Approach
Systematic capture of all façades and the roof with a high-resolution sensor, processed into an orthomosaic per façade and an inspection report with the critical points.
Files delivered
- Detailed inspection photos
- Orthomosaic per façade
- Technical inspection report
Result
- 36minutes of flight time
- for all façades and the roof of a monument dating from 1707, without a ladder or scaffold against the building.

What the dataset does not show
The images and orthomosaics show the visible condition of the masonry, joints and roof covering. They say nothing about the load-bearing capacity of the roof timbers, moisture in the walls or the build-up behind the render. That assessment remains with the restoration architect and the structural engineer.
