How a drone helped Surveying firm De Brabander save time
For the surveying firm De Brabander, HOVVR conducted a drone survey above an industrial warehouse with adjacent properties in Ghent. Using a combination of RTK-driven data collection, point clouds and precision profiles, we delivered cross-sections and elevation points (relative to TAW) that can be directly integrated into the site plan. The assignment included the elevation measurement of all shared walls around the warehouse, generation of DWG/DXF files and deliverable point files according to the surveyor’s requirements.
DEM as the basis for cross-sections of about 35 properties
All collected data were processed using advanced photogrammetry software.
- Resolution of visual images: 1 pixel ≈ 1 cm
- Resolution of point file: XYZ with accuracy < 2 cm. Thanks to this level of detail even subtle elevation differences and adjacent wall structures could be mapped with precision. The result: an interactive 3D model with cross-sections and exported profiles, ideal for technical follow-up by the surveying office.
